To prevent and address any incidents of ragging, the college has constituted an Anti-Ragging Cell, which works proactively to ensure a ragging-free campus. The cell is responsible for creating awareness about the harmful effects of ragging, implementing strict policies, and addressing any complaints related to ragging in a timely and sensitive manner.
The Nodal Officer, Dr. Umesh Kumar Sidh, plays a crucial role in overseeing the functioning of the Anti-Ragging Cell. He ensures that the college adheres to the guidelines set by regulatory bodies, such as the University Grants Commission (UGC), regarding ragging prevention. Dr. Sidh also works closely with faculty, staff, and students to foster a culture of respect and discipline, providing a platform for students to report any incidents confidentially. Grievance Redressal Mechanism for Ragging at Apex College, Makrana
1. Complaint Submission
- Students can report ragging incidents through:
- Online Portal (college website/email)
- Complaint Box (placed in key locations)
- Direct Reporting (to the Anti-Ragging Committee or faculty)
2. Initial Review
- The Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC) reviews the complaint within 24 hours.
- If urgent, immediate protective measures are taken.
3. Investigation
- A designated Inquiry Panel conducts an investigation within 3 working days.
- Statements from victims, witnesses, and accused individuals are recorded.
4. Decision & Action
- If guilty, disciplinary actions may include:
- Warning & counseling
- Suspension
- Expulsion (for severe cases)
- Legal action if necessary
- If not guilty, the case is closed with justification.
5. Appeal & Monitoring
- The student can appeal to the Principal within 7 days.
- Regular awareness campaigns and monitoring are conducted to prevent ragging.
